Deloyd Mcgehee

September 13, 1930 — November 17, 2016

DeLoyd was born September 13, 1930 in rural Seminole, OK to Carl and Myrtle McGehee. He graduated from Strother High School. He married Lolamae Pruitt on February 5, 1951. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard from 1951-1952. Afterwards, he and Lolamae moved to Stinnett. DeLoyd went to work for Phillips Petroleum in 1952, and worked there for 20 years. He also worked for Groendyke for 12 years as a terminal manager. DeLoyd was a member of Bell Ave. Church of Christ. He was a mason, and was past master of Plemons Lodge in Stinnett. He was also a very talented carpenter and could fix anything. Survivors include his wife, Lolamae of Borger; three sons, Dee McGehee and wife Lisa, DeLynn McGehee and wife Kathy all of Amarillo, and Carl McGehee of Borger; two brothers, J.G. McGehee of Garber, OK, and Jerry McGehee and wife Patty of Seminole, OK; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, and one great-grandson, Harrison in 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Bell Avenue Church of Christ Bus Ministry, 1600 Bell St. Amarillo, TX 79106.
