Dennie "Butch" Word

Dennie was born July 23, 1944 in Shamrock, Tx to Dennis and Nellie Word. From 1963 to 1967 he proudly served his country in the Army. Afterwards, he met the love of his life, Joyce Ford. On September 14, 1968 they were married. Dennie loved to hunt and fish and has quite the collection of lures. He was a beloved Husband, father, and proud grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parent's, his twin brother Dannie Word, and Brother Clifford Word. He is survived by his wife Joyce Word of Amarillo, 2 Daughters, Christie Word, and Lorrie Word, both of Amarillo. 3 Grandchildren, Madisyn, Lexi, and Daxston. 2 Sisters, Carol Richardson and husband Doug, of Angleton, and Lynn Grizzle of Canyon. And his beloved cat "Poochie". In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be made to the ALS Foundation, Texas Chapter 2251 Chenault Carrollton, Texas, 75006
