Dennis Ector Holland

Dennis Ector Holland, 82, passed away June 15, 2026. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday June 19, 2026 at Llano Cemetery with Pastor Billy Nickel officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday June 18, 2026 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Dennis was born on December 26, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Hazel and Johnny Holland. He was born with Cerebral Palsy, his parents made sure that he was treated as a regular little boy. Dennis had a teacher who would come to the home to teach him to read and write. He went to public school and was in the regular classes. Dennis was on the Chess team at Palo Duro High School and went to the state championship. He was a member of the Indoor Sports Club and had worked at Levi Strauss for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Dorothy and Delores; and his nephew, Danny Holman.

Survivors include his sister, Donna Dunlap of Amarillo, TX; niece, Jackie Thomason of Amarillo, TX; great nieces, Amanda Wates of Arizona; April Ridde of Utah; great nephew, DJ Holman of Arizona.
