Dennis Emil Michel

Dennis Michel, 78, of Amarillo, passed away on August 11, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday August 17, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home with Paulus Pilgrim and Frank Branham officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowely Funeral Home.

Dennis was born September 23, 1942 in Auburn Nebraska. His family moved to Colorado Springs in 1956. Dennis served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969. He married the love of his life, Linda (Branham) Michel in September of 1970. In 1981 Dennis and Linda moved to Amarillo where he worked for Santa Fe Energy. Dennis was also a long time employee at Pantex for 22 years before he retired. He also worked at H&R Block for 30 years. Dennis was an amazing husband, father and grandfather; He was a Godly example to everyone he met. Dennis was a long time member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. He was loved by so many and will be missed.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Vera Michel

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Michel; six children, Debra Dwire (husband Steve) of Clovis, NM, Karen Anderson (husband Don) of Fairfield, OH, Terry Michel (wife Rhonda) of Ferrum, VA, Kristi Pinto (husband Darryl) of Frankfort, KY, Kevin Michel (wife Alicia) of Lexington, KY, and Kathi Michel of Grand Lake, CO; Seven grandchildren and Six great-grandchildren; one brother, Arvin Michel (wife Athenia); one sister, Gladys Pilgrim (husband Paulus).
