Dennis W. "Peewee" Adams

Dennis W. "PeeWee" Adams, 75, of Amarillo, died Sunday, June 25, 2017. Dennis was born December 10, 1941 in Ripley, Miss. to Lymon and Mildred Adams. Although he was raised in church all his young life, he gave his life to Christ on June 19, 2017. Dennis was united in marriage to Alice Jones on September 9, 1972. No children were born to this union. Dennis loved sports. At times when he was trying to make us laugh, he would say that he had played for the St. Louis Cardinals. He knew all the major NFL players by name. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Rufus Cox, D.L. Adams, and Edward Adams; one sister, Totsie Adams-Hankins; and a nephew, James E. Adams. He leaves to mourn his home going his wife, Alice Adams of Mexia; four sisters, Niece Edgeston of Tippah County, Miss, Betty Culp of Phoenix, Ariz, Billie Adams-Polk, and Pastor Peggy Adams of Amarillo; 12 nephews; 10 nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
