Devorah "Debbie" Weiss Willis, 74, died Sunday, April 6, 2014.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Bishop Martin Morris officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
She was raised in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. She worked for Piggly Wiggly then Safeway for many years, then retired. She also was a cook at Elizabeth Jane Bivins Retirement Home for many years and retired from there as well.
She had a special talent for cooking, arts and crafts, ceramics and quilting, which she loved to share and teach. The greatest of all, and what she is best known for, is her cooking. She loved to cook, no matter how large the group was and all you had to do was ask.
She was surrounded by many, many dear friends and loved by all. She always had a special place in her heart for all her family and friends. She will be missed by many. Love you Mom.
She was preceded in death by her father, Otto Weiss and wife Alene; her mother, Pauline Bryant; and two brothers, Charles and Otto Leroy Weiss.
Survivors include six children, Johnnie Oyler, Jagala Shaw, Janita Sanders and Bobby Ewing Jr., all of Amarillo, and Rayma Cox and Paula Ewing, both of Stillwater, Okla.; a brother, Carl
Ray Weiss of Amarillo; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren
