Dewayne Reeves

Dewayne Reeves, 63, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 12, 2019. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Generation Next Worship Center, 3503 SW 6th Ave. Dewayne Reeves was born October 18, 1955 in Collingsworth County, Texas to Robert and Nellie Reeves. He attended Palo Duro High School. He earned his certification in auto mechanics from TSTI. He married Debbie Hough in 1996 in Amarillo. Dewayne worked as a mechanic for many car dealerships throughout his career. In his spare time, he enjoyed building model cars. He adored spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was devoted to caring for Debbie until her passing in 2017. Dewayne had a huge heart. He never said no when someone had a need he could fill, and he always put others needs above his own. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dewayne was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Debbie Reeves; and his daughter, Pamela Reeves. Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Hunter and husband Nathan of Borger, and Ashley Reeves of Amarillo; a brother, Keith Reeves and wife Dalana of Amarillo; and five grandchildren, Araya, Alexi, Alana, Zoey, and Brooklyn.
