Don Martin

Lewis Don Martin, 86, of Amarillo, passed away on January 24, 2026. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Don will be available for viewing at the funeral home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Don was born on July 17, 1939, in Dalhart to Manuel and Bernice Martin. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his vegetable garden each year. Don loved to travel (especially to the mountains) with his wife and family, going fishing and camping. He was an adventurer at heart and could often be found on his motorcycle or dirt bike. Anything Don was doing, he included his family, and his hobbies became their own. Don enjoyed restoring antique cars and staying busy; he had an infectious personality and loved to visit with those around him. Continuing his love for travel, Don and his wife enjoyed touring the West Coast, going on a cruise, and visiting Hawaii. He was loved by so many and will be missed.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Lou Jane Martin, in October of 2022. Survivors include his two daughters and a host of extended family and close friends.
