Dona Ruth Lee Mcnutt

Dona Ruth Lee McNutt a long time resident of Hereford Texas, passed away Thursday September 21, 2017 at Ussery-Roan Veterans Home in Amarillo, TX after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born in 1932 in Quanah, TX to Bill and Pearl Lee. Dona was extremely proud to be a "Quanah Indian" and it showed throughout her life as she decorated her home in southwest style and had a love for the color turquoise. Dona worked as a teller at the Quanah bank and upon moving to Hereford worked for many years at the First National Bank where she made life long friends. Dona married Bryant "Neil" McNutt in 1952 and moved from Quanah, to Corpus Christi, then settled in Hereford. She gave birth to twin boys, Larry and Barry, in 1954, and was proud to have survived their raising. Dona enjoyed reading books, going to the movies, traveling, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She is survived by: her husband, Bryant Neil McNutt; sons, Larry and Barry McNutt.; grandchildren, Bryant, Eric, Travis, and Wade McNutt; great -grandchildren, Macyn, Evalyn, David, Peyton, Elizabeth, and Levi McNutt; and a brother Kenneth Lee of California. Preceding Dona in death were sisters Louise Mills, Sybil Prescott, and granddaughter Keeton McNutt.
