Donald "Don" Shelley

Donald “Don” Shelley, 82, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th Ave. with Pastor Robbie Ashlock officiating. Don was born March 1, 1938 in Midland, Michigan. He grew up in Lansing, Michigan, and moved to Amarillo in 1972. He worked in carpentry and drywall, and owned a contracting business. In his spare time, Don enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also a big Michigan football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Shirley Shelley; and a brother, Eugene Shelley. Survivors include four sons, Michael Shelley and wife Ellen of Amarillo, Brian Shelley of Wyoming, Freddie Shelley and wife Tina of San Antonio, and Kevin Shelley of Amarillo; four daughters, Kim Shelley of Dallas, Brenda Shelley of Wyoming, Vickie Shelley of Florida, and Tammie Collins and husband Duane of Lubbock; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
