Donna Gayle Gronemeyer

Donna Gayle Gronemeyer (Shaw) entered into eternal peace March 1, 2016, at the age of 65 years after a 6 month battle with endometrial cancer. Born July 11, 1950, in Arkansas City, Kansas, she lived in Arkansas City, Kansas City, Colorado Springs, CO and most recently in Amarillo, TX. Gayle ran a home daycare in the late 80's and 90's and thoroughly enjoyed working in Colorado Springs at Focus on the Family in the bookstore where she retired last year after 11 years. Gayle is survived by her husband of 24 years, Phil, daughter Jennifer Alvarez (husband, Anthony), son Travis Abel (wife Brandi) and daughter Katie Armstrong (husband Jayson). She will also be fondly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, Alec, Alaina, Anthony, Adam, August, Jaymes, Tyler, Tayler, Tayla and Jayden, by her brother, Mike Shaw and sister-in-law Pam, 3 nephews, Jeff, Chris and Tucker and 1 niece Erin. Gayle was predeceased by her father Merle Dean Shaw and her mother Anita Loraine Shaw.
