Dorothy Clark

Dorothy Clark, 92, of Amarillo, passed away on December 6, 2024. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday December 12, 2024 at Llano Cemetery East with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on March 16, 1932 in Chattanooga, Oklahoma to Preston and Minnie Jones. She married her sweetheart, Willie Ray Clark in Rush springs, Oklahoma and she had been a part of the Amarillo community since 1978. Dorothy worked as a waitress, cleaned houses and also spent the bulk of her career as an Environmental Tech with Texas Instruments. She enjoyed crafting, playing bingo and crochet. Dorothy was a dedicated member of Trinity Fellowship Church for many years. She was very involved in SALT and loved Gods creation. She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren in her spare time. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Ray Clark; her daughter, Dana Ingles; one son, Michael Dale Clark; her sister, Ruby Williams and her two brothers, Russell Raymond Jones and Benny Jones.

Survivors include her son, Raymond “Pete” Clark and wife Ramona of Lubbock; her daughter in love, Carolyn Faragoza of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
