Dorothy Louise (Smith) White

Dorothy Louise White (Mamaw) of Amarillo went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday January 1, 2022 at the age of 90. Dorothy was a caring wife, mother, Mamaw, sister, and friend.

She was born to Annie and Edgar Smith on November 29, 1931. After graduating from high school in Sylvester, Dorothy met her late husband Henry C. White. Together, they had 2 children: Mark and Patricia.

Dorothy loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family and teaching her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren how to cook. Mamaw was always trying to feed everyone in the neighborhood and had plenty of stories to share about her life on the family farm. Most of her spare time was spent spending time with those she loved and playing bridge with her friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 am on January 6, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home at 4180 Canyon Drive. Following will be a private family burial.
