Dorothy Williams

Dorothy Williams, 73, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Dorothy was born September 8, 1947 in Hereford, Texas. Dorothy had worked most of her life, for companies such as Levi Strauss and Walmart.  She had a love for country music, and for people. She also enjoyed dancing to country music. Dorothy was truly a country girl at heart.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Hollis Walser and Edith May Walser; grandparents Grandpa Chick Hargrove and Dorothy “Lil Grannie” Hargrove.

Survivors include one daughter, Tracie Lowe and husband Kurtis of Fort Worth; one son, Michael Gentry and girlfriend Marie of Amarillo; two sisters, Marie Halford of Amarillo; Zella Cates of Tyler; one brother, Jack Walser of Forney; three grandchildren, Jordan, Kylie, Ashley; and one great grandchild Braxton.
