Dot Ferguson

Dot Ferguson, 97, of Amarillo, died Friday, November 3, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, November 6, 2017 at Trinity Fellowship Church - Chapel, 5000 Hollywood Rd. with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Dot was born July 15, 1920 in Knox City to Jesse and Tempe Moore. She married Irel Ferguson in Knox City in 1936. The couple moved to Tulia in 1953. They farmed and raised their family there. After her husband's death, Dot moved to Amarillo in 1990. Dot loved taking care of her family. They meant everything to her. She loved serving the Lord, and was a prayer warrior! She was a long-time member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Dot was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Irel Ferguson; three sisters, Opal Earp, Pauline Myers, and Jerene Cypert. Survivors include her daughter, Irelene Copheranham and husband Bobby; three grandchildren, Cindy Allison, Ken Copheranham and wife Kaki, and Lisa Mills and husband Gregg; six great-grandchildren, Jarrett Copheranham and wife Christa, Chelsea Copheranham and fiance Trey Warnock, Ashley Cornelius and husband Hayden, Joshua Allison and wife Cami, Jessica Stallwitz and husband Benjamin and Matthew Mills; and four great-great-grandchildren, James Stallwitz, Fynlee Stallwitz, Collins Cornelius, and Ella Copheranham. The family suggests memorials be made to Rose Hill Cemetery Association, PO Box 1507, Plainview, TX 79073. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
