Dottie J. Henk

Dottie was born to JD and Collette Ball in Denver, Co on October 10, 1935. She later married Lyle Henk in New Mexico, They had been married for a wonderful 60 Years. Lyle spent 20 years serving his country in the Marines, in which they were able to travel all over. In 1972 they started Henk's BBQ here in Amarillo, Dottie enjoyed going to play Bingo, and Gambling. Dottie and Lyle were loyal members of First Baptist Christian Church. She was a loving mother, wife, and enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter Shelbi Henk. She is survived by her husband Lyle, 3 Daughters, Collette Torres of Amarillo, Ronda Richardson and husband John, of Canyon, Jennifer McDowell and husband Larry, of Amarillo. Son Jeffery Henk of Amarillo. Sister Dickie Chandler and husband Fred of Farwell, Tx. Grandchildren, Christopher Sinclair, Abby Richardson, Kristie Neal, Alexis Torres, Megan McDowell, Michael McDowell, Dottie Jane Henk, Whittney Henk, Brandon Henk, and Jeracole Daniels. 4 Great-Grandchildren, Kash, Kendle, Kylie, Katlynn. Her family friend, and Family, Dee Hare. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to the Veterans Administration here in Amarillo, Tx.
