Douglas Hill

Douglas Hill, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Oasis Southwest Baptist Church. Douglas was born September 8, 1938 in Point, Texas to Charlie and Alice Hill. He graduated from Carey High School. Douglas married Peggy Sue Carter in 1960 in Childress, Texas. He was a charter member of Oasis Southwest Baptist Church for 45 years. Douglas loved his family, and his dog "Miss Daisy, but most importantly he loved the Lord. Douglas will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include, his wife, Peggy Hill of Amarillo; two daughters, Susan Casper and husband Don and Cheryl Robertson, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Louie Hill and wife Ann of Lawton, OK, David Hill and wife Barbara of Atlus, OK and Mickey Hill of Childress; one sister, Sherri Hickman and husband David of Childress, TX; a special brother in law, Mickey Carter and wife Joyce of Grand Junction, CO and three grandchildren, Berkley Robertson of Amarillo, Cole Casper of Singapore, and Carter Casper of Austin, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Gary Hill and one sister Betty Joyce.
