Earl Holmes

Earl was born on July 21, 1943 in Floydada to S.L. and Margrette Holmes. He was raised in Floydada and attended schools there before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1960. He was honorably discharged in 1964. He married Carolyn Breeding on October 19, 1962 in Floydada. Earl worked as an offshore electrician for over 20 years until his retirement in 2008. They lived in Floydada, Paris, Houston and Amarillo. Earl was an avid hunter and especially loved deer hunting. Most of all, Earl loved his Lord and his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Holmes of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Kathi Holmes Cox and husband Jarvis of Lubbock and Denise Holmes Pearson of Sedalia, Missouri; sister, Janet Chapman and husband Jerry of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, Chad Sechrist, Jake Holmes and wife Nikhia, Roger Burditt and wife Rachel, Tonie Branch, Rhiannon Pearson and Garrett Holmes and 6 great grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Michael Holmes.
