Edward Navarro

Edward was born May 17, 1962 in Floydada to Joe and Anita Navarro. He graduated from high school in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was stationed there while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He proudly served his country for three years. Edward worked as a dispatcher for UPS for 22 years, retiring in 2003 as a supervisor. He was a very hard worker, and was extremely funny. He never met a stranger, and would talk to anyone. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Edward also loved talking politics. He was a loving and giving father, son, big brother and the best uncle. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include two sons, Edward Andrew Navarro and Lawrence DeLeon both of Amarillo; his mother, Anita Navarro of Amarillo; the mother of his boys, Carol Peterpaul of Amarillo; four brothers, Adam Navarro, Ruben Navarro and wife Jean, Jesse Navarro and wife Molly, and Mark Navarro and wife Mindy all of Amarillo; three sisters, Ida King and husband Brian, Mari Ellison and husband Brandon all of Amarillo, and Judy Landberg and husband Martin of Apple Valley, MN; two grandsons, Nicholas Cordova and Brayden Lopez; 12 nephews; and nine nieces. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaytie Navarro; and his father, Joe B. Navarro.
