Edwin Bee Boggess Jr

Edwin Bee Boggess JR, 78, of Amarillo passed away on October 10, 2024. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday October 17, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Kyle Clayton officiating. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Marella Cemetery located near Griggs, Oklahoma.

Edwin was born July 2, 1946 to Edwin and Mary Boggess in Lamar County, Texas. He met and married the love of his life Reta Twombly in 1986. They share 35 years before her passing. Edwin was a truck driver which took him around several states. He loved horses, he was talking about them up until the day he past. Edwin could strike up a conversation with just about anyone, even complete strangers. He just loved to talk. Edwin had a great sense of humor, he was funny. He enjoyed eating Mexican food, it was his favorite. Edwin was a proud member of Quail Creek Church for over 35 years. He enjoyed going to his Sunday school class, being a door greeter, being very involved in the church with different activities. Edwin will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tracy Boggess; his grandchild; his loving wife of 35 years Reta Twombly Boggess.

Survivors include his step-sons, Shane Maples; Mark Maples ; his son, Jamie Boggess; his two grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren.
