Elizabeth Steeger

Elizabeth was born on September 11, 1925 in Electra to Joseph and Doshie Davis. She married Robert Steeger on May 26, 1945 in Lyndhurst, NJ. The two of them have shared nearly 70 years of wedded bliss. She was a talented seamstress and was crafty, making beautiful clothing and dolls. Most importantly, Elizabeth was a woman of faith who loved her Lord. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend to all. She is survived by her husband, Robert Steeger of Amarillo; 2 sons, Paul Steeger and wife Vikki of Pennsylvania and Dennis Steeger and wife Terri of the Dallas Metroplex; 3 daughters, Sharen Stansbury and husband Doug of Shellville, GA, Karen Schoch and husband John of Newbern, NC and Laura Hendrickson and husband Frank of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Steeger; 3 sisters, Grace, Margaret and Leon and brother, Joseph.
