Elizabeth Ferne (Traver) Stipe

Elizabeth Stipe of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on February 2, 1948, Elizabeth lived a life marked by love, resilience, and deep devotion to her family. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Llano Cemetery. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Elizabeth was born February 2, 1948 in Dodge City, Kansas to William and Ferne Traver. She always had the radio on. Loved to waltz with her beloved Jesse. Beth frequently said oh, Sweet Child O Mine, referencing the song by Guns n Roses. Her quiet strength, joyful kindness, and steady presence will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Stipe; her beloved parents, Bill and Ferne Traver; her sister Vicki Micheau; grandson Jacob Stipe; daughter Renee’ Bower;  and granddaughter Tabatha Christian.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Mangum and his wife Danette of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Ray Stipe and his wife Janice of Kingston, OK; Marty Stipe and his wife Candy of Kingston, OK; Gary Stipe of Portland, OR; and Larry Bower of Okemah OK.; her daughter, Virginia Williams, and her husband Kirsten, of Amarillo; her grandsons, Craig Williams and his wife Angela; Justin Adcock of Socorro, NM; Dominic Mangum of Tulsa, OK; Daniel Stipe of Tacoma WA; Steven Christian and his wife Chelsea of Henryetta, OK; her granddaughters, Heather of Amarillo; Hannah and her husband John of Tulsa, OK; Amanda and her husband John of Lubbock; Tabatha and her husband Ryan of Bacliff, TX. Elizabeth was also blessed to know her 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Roger Traver and his wife Ellen of Joplin, MO, and her sister, Ruthie Winget of Hugoton KS.
