Ellis Hagood

Ellis was born on February 22, 1925 in Sayre, OK to William and Mabel Hagood. He was raised in Oklahoma, enlisting in the United States Navy on March 9, 1943. He proudly served on the USS Wichita during WWII and also served during the Korean Conflict. Ellis married Maurice Pyle on February 22, 1945 in Sayre, OK. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2012. He worked for Brown and Root and then Chicago Bridge and Iron for many years building oil storage tanks. He also worked as a horse trader, which he was very passionate about. In his later years, he enjoyed putting together puzzles, listening to music and spending time with his beloved dog, Molly. He is survived by 3 sons, Rick Hagood and wife Susan of Kingswood, Randy Hagood and wife Michelle of Canadian and Rockey Hagood and wife Karon of the Colleyville area; daughter, Susie Banner and husband Doug of Amarillo; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
