E. Ralph (Buster) Foster III, 70, of Amarillo passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Visitation will be held December 31, 2020, at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, in the Hillside Christian Church auditorium on the corner of Hillside and Soncy at 2:00 pm, with Pastors Rob Attaway and Greg Corona Officiating. Buster, affectionately called Buz or Buzzy, was born August 19, 1950, in Amarillo to E. Ralph Jr. and Juanita Foster. He attended River Road and graduated from Amarillo High School with the class of 1969 and studied at Texas Tech Buster and his cherished wife Paula were married on April 15, 2006. They built their lives working together, serving God and enjoying family and friends. His greatest joys were family vacations and family time spent at their cabin with their children and grandchildren that he adored. Buster spent 50 plus years in the home furnishings business in Amarillo starting at Heath’s Furniture. With his entrepreneurial spirit, he owned three stores through the years, Tri State Furniture, Warehouse Solutions and Buzula Furniture. Buster truly loved people and working with the public. He delighted in mentoring employees, taking pride in all their personal and professional accomplishments. All who met him would be captivated with his smile, his sweet and positive spirit, and laughter. For so many a heartfelt hug was in order when you ran into Buster. In his heart, everyone he knew was a true friend to him. His was a thoughtful and giving friend that was at the ready for anyone who needed help. He loved to cook and grill and with Paula they frequently welcomed family and friends in their home. Buster especially loved praising and sharing his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and always enjoyed volunteering in his and other local churches. Through the years, he fought and won multiple severe health battles. Inspiring others with his never wavering faith and sharing his testimonies. Living his life in Amarillo, he and Paula passionately supported many community events and charities giving both their time and monetary donations. Participation as an Ambassador to Coffee Memorial Blood Center, Women’s Center, Martha’s Home, AMBUCS, local schools, just to name a few. He served as a Master Mason at Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 and as a Shriner at Khiva Shrine where he also participated in the Khiva Cycle Escort Unit. Buster is survived by his wife Paula, two sons Travis Foster of Dallas, Paul and wife Aimee Garcia and his daughter Crystal Garcia, both of Amarillo. Four grandchildren Lukas, Skye, Sophia and Eleanore, sister Lindy Moneymaker and husband Frank of Alaska, sister-in law Linda Johnson and husband Dwain of Nevada, and brother-in laws Lawrence (JR) Place Jr, and wife Cathy and Pete Place and wife Bobbie of Amarillo, Bobby Jones Jr. Also, his nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Juanita and E. Ralph Foster Jr, sister, Jonita (Jody) Jones and in-laws, Lillian and Lawrence Place Sr, along with his grandparents. The family request that in lieu of flowers, to please donate blood at your local blood bank.
