Eric D. Oakes

Eric D. Oakes, 31, of Amarillo passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with Ronnie Mullins officiating. Eric was born February 16, 1984 in Amarillo to Cathy and David Oakes. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Danielle. He is survived by his sons, Korbyn Oakes and Andrew Dymek; his grandmother, Winnell Shaw; his grandfather, Jack Oakes and wife Melba; his aunts, Pam Forgette and husband Mark, Teresa Beasley, and Jan Hassinger and husband Mark; also surviving him are his cousins, Aaron Oakes and wife Ashley, and Audrey Holgerson and husband Jim. The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo SPCA 11901 S. Coulter Amarillo, TX 79119.
