Eric Maurice Shufelberger

Eric Maurice Shufelberger, 37, of Bovina passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 in Grafenwoehr, Germany. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 in Bovina Cemetery. Eric was born June 24, 1981 in Midland, Texas to Maurice and Connie Shufelberger. Eric graduated from Bovina High School in 1999. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bovina. Eric enlisted in The United States Army on April 20, 2001. He served his country honorably until his passing. Eric married Emily Montano in Farwell, Texas on December 15, 2010. Eric was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping and cooking. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and especially love time spent with his beloved daughter, Morgan. Eric was known to sponsor his fellow servicemen and women for holidays when they were unable to go home. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother and uncle. Eric will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Maurice Shufelberger; grandfather, Carl Shufelberger and grandmother, Mary Alice Merrell. He is survived by his wife, Emily Shufelberger; daughter, Morgan of Waco; mother, Connie Goad of Amarillo; brother, Chris Shufelberger and wife Emilia of Bovina; sisters, Jessica Goad and husband Toby and Jennifer Goad and husband Michael all of Clovis, New Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.
