Ernestine Pratt

Ernestine Pratt, 95, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday December 30, 2025. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E Interstate 40 Hwy. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2026 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, Texas.

Ernestine was born on September 12, 1930 in Red River County, Texas to Ernest and Clara Mae Tackett. She loved to crochet, sew and often could be found working a jigsaw puzzle. Ernestine’s daughters remember her as a talented cook and an avid gardener. She and her late husband, H.J. Pratt, would often travel to Las Vegas.

Ernestine lived at the Craig Senior Living Center for the pasted 3 years immersing herself in the Craig community. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Bean Bag Baseball.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, H.J. Pratt and a son-in-law, Steve Meyer.

Survivors include her two daughters, Norma Meyer of Amarillo, and Patricia Hans (Gary) of Foley, Alabama; three grandchildren, Kevin Meyer, Teri Meyer and Lindsey Britten (Adam); three great grandchildren, Jacob Meyer, Hattie Britten and Holland Britten.
