Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Ethan was born on July 31, 1991, in Amarillo and was a graduate of Tascosa High School. Ethan had many hobbies and put every ounce of energy into what he did. He was employed with the City of Amarillo for 10 years, working as the Animal Cruelty Investigator supervisor. Ethan loved history, and spent a lot of his spare time reading on WWII, and collecting vintage guns. He was an avid collector of war memorabilia, cologne, and antique razors. Attention to detail was important to Ethan, especially when it came to shaving. He always wanted to look nice, be well groomed, and smell good. Ethan was a self-made mechanic and enjoyed woodworking. Ethan’s most recent adventure was magnet fishing, and metal detecting. He was passionate about his family and loved them all very much; he was particularly close to his nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a fun and loving uncle. Ethan took great pride in his cars, he loved his Ford F150 King Ranch Edition pick-up. Ethan was an organ donor, and had the privilege of donating to local recipients in the Panhandle area. Ethan was a helper to others and his family finds great comfort knowing he has saved the lives of those in need. He leaves behind many family members and friends, but also his faithful dog, Coltlynn. Ethan will be greatly missed. Survivors include his mother and step-father, Kara Minchew and Kirk of Amarillo; the love of his life, Raquel Davila of Amarillo; a sister, Britnee Vernon and husband Ty, not only his brother-in-law and co-worker but his best friend ever and partner in crime; a sister, Heather Hilton and husband Tristan both of Amarillo; his father, Donn Hicks; a step-brother, Tate Minchew and wife Monica of Lubbock; two half sisters, Shelby Glasson and Angelina Marie; his “Grandmom”, Mara Snyder of Amarillo; his grandparents, Charles and Linda Minchew of Hereford; two nieces, Paizlee Hilton and Forrest Scott Vernon - who will make her debute into the world soon; one nephew, Aidan Hilton; his aunt and uncle, Alicia and David Quine of Lubbock; two cousins, Reagan and Josh VanAlstine, Zack Quine and Andrea Price.
