Ethan Devlin Shaffer

March 24, 1965 — January 4, 2016

Ethan was born March, 24, 1965 in Amarillo Texas to the late E.D. Shaffer and Barbara Jean Shaffer. He was a graduate of Palo Duro High School, Class of 1983. Ethan was united in marriage to Felicia Kaye Richardson April 10, 1992 at Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church in Amarillo, Texas; to this union three children were born. He accepted Christ as his savior early in his life as a child. He was a member and attended Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church and was a member of the church choir where he loved to witness to others through song about the loving grace and mercy of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ethan was employed by Affiliated Foods, Inc. where he put in a total of 29 years of dedicated service. He was known around the office as "Big E" the one with a big smile on his face and always singing something. He was known by his family and friends as the dependable one with a kind heart who would help any time there was a need. He was blessed to have two hearts in his lifetime due to a wonderful donor family that so graciously helped him during his time of need through their selfless act of organ donation. This resulted in him being a heart transplant recipient, May 29, 1996. Ethan was preceded in death by his parents, and infant daughter, Shaunte Shaffer. Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Felicia and their precious two children Bethany Elene and Nicholas Ethan Shaffer. Others included four brothers; Edward Shaffer, Jonathan Shaffer (Sharon), Nathan Shaffer (Susan), and Keemon Shaffer all of Amarillo, Texas. Two brothers-in-law Samuel and Joseph both of Amarillo; two sisters-in law Trishia Harper (Dexter) of Amarillo and Tracy Bembry of Dayton, Ohio. Uncles; W.C. (Dr. Julia) Shaffer of Cleveland, Ohio, Robert (Jacqueline) Chapman of Columbus, Ohio, A.D. Shaffer and Donnie (Rene) Sutton, Sr. both of Amarillo, Jimmie Sutton of Wichita Falls, TX.
