Ethel Marie Airington

Ethel Marie Airington, 71 of Amarillo died March 3, 2018. A Celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m at Cox Funeral Home- Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Dr. Ethel was born July 24, 1947 to James and Ardenia Allen. She graduated from Palo Duro High school. Ethel then obtained her Associates Degree in Law Enforcement where she then became a Sheriff Deputy. Ethel enjoyed playing bingo and slots with her best friends Sallie Collins and Barbara Leard. Above all she adored her grandson Diego more than anything in this world. Survivors include one daughter, Lynda Airington of Amarillo; one sister, Betty Roberson and husband Mike of Amarillo; four nieces and nephews, Sommer Allen Carter, Keith Allen, Michael Duff and Denise Duff; one son in law, Rolando O. Rangel; one daughter in law, LaJettie Cassels; four grandchildren, Diego, Chon, Veronica and Joe; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, James David Allen and Floyd Allen.
