Eula "Snookie" Stephens

Snookie was born in Amarillo, Texas on August 29, 1927 to Alfred W. Windham, Sr. and Maude Coff Windham. Snookie graduated from Amarillo High School in 1945 and attended Amarillo College where she earned a degree in Bookkeeping and Shorthand in 1947. Snookie married Leonard L. Stephens on May 24, 1952, in Clovis, NM. She worked for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation and was later employed as secretary for Southwestern Appliance Company, a Philco distributor. She then loyally served for 32 years as secretary for Conley Implement Company. Snookie and Leonard were charter members of the Lawndale Church of Christ, which is known today as Comanche Trail Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Lola Mae Windham Wright, and brothers Alfred W. "Red" Windham, Jr. and Billy J. Windham. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Leonard L. Stephens, a sister, Dortha Windham Roberts and several nieces and nephews.
