Felipe Navarrete

July 15, 1948 - September 30, 2024

Felipe Navarrete Sr., a man of strength, dedication, and passion, passed away surrounded by loved ones. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Maria Martinez, his father, Felipe Navarrete, and his brothers, Richard, Albert, and Francisco Navarrete.

Felipe leaves behind his loving wife, Vicenta “Bessie” Navarrete, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He is survived by daughters: Cecilia Navarrete and her husband, Lance Patton; Amanda, Terrion, Tyra, and Trey Navarrete; Maria Sanchez. He is also survived by his sons, Felipe Navarrete Jr., and his wife, Kylie; Richard Navarrete, and his wife, Tammy; Ismael Navarrete and his wife, Antoinette; Adrian Navarrete; Arturo Perez and his wife, Kathy; and TJ Mason. Felipe cherished his family deeply and was proud of each one of them.

He is also survived by his sisters: Virginia Alonzo, Gloria Navarrete, and Elida Alcala, along with 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Felipe was known not only for his strength but also for his skillful hands. His passion for martial arts, particularly boxing, was a defining part of his life, and he took great joy in teaching the youth how to box and develop discipline. But his hands built more than fighters—they built homes. Felipe could build a house from the ground up, lay bricks with precision, and took pride in teaching those around him the valuable life skill. His craftsmanship and work ethic were a testament to his dedication in all that he did.

Felipe’s legacy will live on through his family and the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered for his passion, strength, craftsmanship, and love for those closest to him. May he rest in peace.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday October, 9, 2024 at Cox-Rowley Funeral home, 4180 Canyon Dr. with Pastor Kyle Wilkinson Officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Tuesday October 8, 2024 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
