Frances Fuentes

Frances was born on January 16, 1944 in Lamesa to Marcelino and Eva Rojas. She moved to Dalhart as a child, where she graduated from Dalhart High School. She married Manuel Fuentes in 1967. He preceded her in death in 2002. Frances was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family, often traveling to her granddaughter's gymnastics and track meets. She was an avid supporter of sports and eagerly supported the 2012 Bushland Girls State Cross Country Team and coachers. She attended Jan Warner Adult Day Care and had a host of friends including workers and clients whom she cherished. She was known by others for her caring and fun loving personality and was the kind of person who always strived to make others happy. She is survived by her son, Ralph Fuentes and wife Shirley of Amarillo; granddaughter, Stormie Fuentes of Amarillo; mother, Eva Rojas of Dalhart; 3 brothers, Pablo, Mike and Mingo Rojas, all of Dalhart; 2 sisters, Melissa Gonzales and husband Marcus and Virginia Wheeler and husband Richard, all of Dalhart and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, whom she loved greatly. She is preceded in death by her father; husband, Manuel Fuentes and brother, Tony Rojas
