Frances Hall

Frances Viola Hollingshead-Hall, 103, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at Ochiltree County Cemetery in Perryton. Frances was born on October 29, 1914 in Direct, Texas. She was the daughter of Tom and Gertrude Hollingshead. She was raised in Spearman, Texas and graduated from Spearman High School. Frances married Raymond Russell Hall on Christmas Day, 1935, and they raised their two daughters, Raynell and Shirley in Canadian. Frances worked for the First National Bank in Canadian and retired after 20 years of service. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her baby sister, Verna Merle; and three other sisters, Velira Millard, Oneta Shuttlesworth; and Verna Lee Chesshir. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Hall of Amarillo, and Raynell Bitner and husband J.W. of Krum; a granddaughter, Jaylia Rentfro and husband Trigg of Krum; two great-grandsons, Clayton and Brody Rentfro; her brother, Jay Hollingshead and wife Carol of Valley Center, California; and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to Kindred Hospice of Amarillo, 3232 Hobbs Rd Suite A, Amarillo, TX 79109.
