Frances was born on December 7, 1942 in Seminole to Clarence and Margaret Lucas. She moved to Houston as a child, where she graduated from Smiley High School before settling in Amarillo. Here, she worked at Maywood Doors of over 10 years before her employment at Pantex, where she worked for many years before working as a greeter at Walmart until her retirement. Frances served as a foster parent for many years, caring for over 100 children in her lifetime. She passed on this passion for caring for others to her children and they in turn cared for many other children as well. Above all, Frances loved her family, including many who considered her their grandma also.
She is survived by her daughter, Tania Parsons of Amarillo; 3 sons, Dan Digman and wife Tia, Robert Digman and Don DeWitt and wife Pat, all of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Betty Winburn and husband Don, Doris Gibbs, all of Amarillo and Patricia Walker of Canyon; over 20 grandchildren; more than 30 great grandchildren; her puppy Kendra and her beloved bird, Firbie.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Helen Diana Digman.
