Frances Avalee Walker

Memorial Services are scheduled on Tuesday, Dec. 23 in the First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Frances was born on July 28, 1931 in Pine Swamp, NC to Levi and Helen Shirley Cheek. She was a long time cashier for Skaggs-Alpha Beta Grocery Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kevin Myers and a daughter Tess Wallace as well as 7 brothers and sisters. Survivors include 2 daughters Deborah Bullard and husband Jack and Melanie Mays all of Amarillo. 2 brothers Edwin Cheek and wife Fody and Sherrill Cheel and 2 sisters Grace Gentry and Louise O'Shield, 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
