Frank was born April 22, 1952 in Amarillo, Texas to Harold and Dorothy Garrett. His mother died when he was five months old, and he went to live with his grandparents. Frank worked at Star Equipment which was his family’s grain elevator business, until he found his calling in the music industry. Early on, Frank was a promoter for several bands, beginning with Black Water Draw. Along the way, he bought a sound system and left the family business to start his career as a sound engineer. He did sound, lights and staging all over the Texas panhandle area for over 40 years. He worked XIT, Tri-State Fair, Discover, Funfest and many more exciting venues over the years. He traveled with the Super Bull Rodeo and Music Across America. Frank retired in 2024 due to health issues, but he will be remembered fondly by friends, family and many in the music industry.
