Frankie Wedgeworth

Mr. Wedgeworth was born January 29, 1944 in Laurel, Miss. to Willie and Kathleen Wedgeworth. He married Nancy Solomon in Amarillo in 1985. Together, they owned and operated Frankie's Styling and Tanning Center for over 30 years. Frankie was a hairdresser who immensely enjoyed his work. He was also very good with his hands. He could fix or fabricate most anything. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wedgeworth of Amarillo; a son, William Wedgeworth, III and fiancee Stephanie of Bellingham, Wash.; a daughter, Tammy Mortensen and husband Jens of McAllen; a sister, Sylvia Dumas of Amarillo; and two grandchildren, Stacie and Kevin Mortensen. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
