Fred Molesworth, 90, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday March 18, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday March 26, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Pastor Travis Bennett officiating. Fred will be available for viewing on Friday March 25, 2022 from 2:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Fred was born on September 3, 1931 in El Paso, Texas to Jack and Dorothy Molesworth. Fred was a true cattleman and loved horses. He was also an avid team roper. Fred worked for Amarillo Sale Barn for over 20 years before he retired, and later would work for Pantex for another 10 years. He was a hardworking family man and retirement just didn’t suit him. Fred enjoyed going to Las Vegas in his spare time. He and his wife Ann also enjoyed the local Senior Citizens hall. Together they played bridge and dominos with many of their friends. Fred enjoyed time with his family and was always looking for a good meal. He was loved by many and will be missed.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann Molesworth; one brother, John Molesworth; one sister, Patty Craft.
Survivors include his son, Percy Molesworth (Laura) of Amarillo; three grandsons, Sterling Molesworth (Jane) of Amarillo, Levi Molesworth of Logan, New Mexico and Kooper Molesworth of Alpine; one great grandson, Wheeler Molesworth and one new great grandson on the way. Survivors also include a host of nieces and nephews.
