Freddie Garcia

May 24, 1964 — October 31, 2014

Freddie was born May 24, 1964, in Clayton, N.M., to Felix and Irene Garcia. He moved to Dumas as a child, where he graduated from Dumas High School in 1982. Freddie worked at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital for 10 years as a phlebotomist before pursuing his passion as a massage therapist. He was known for his fantastic sense of humor, his big giving heart and especially for his eccentric love of music, which ranged from Dolly Parton to KISS and everything in between. He loved Halloween immensely and he and his partner Stacy, were well known for their massive bashes they threw each year as he was able. Freddie also enjoyed ghost hunting and was a member of the GAPS Ghost hunting group of Amarillo. He will be remembered for his strength and courage he showed throughout his illness as he traveled back and forth to Dallas awaiting a three organ donation he greatly anticipated. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he showed his niece and nephew, his partner, his family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his partner of 27 years, Stacy David of Amarillo; his mother, Irene Garcia of Amarillo; a brother, Tommy and wife Brandi Garcia their children, his niece and nephew, Zakk and Zoey; his nieces and nephews, Jeanette Herron of North Carolina; Christy Huls, Desarea Rider and Dereck David, of Dallas; Alicia David, of New Mexico; Jessica David, Erica David and Zac David, of Amarillo, and Cason David, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and his beloved pets, Nawla, Sookie and Tara.
