Gary Arnold Doss, 77, of Amarillo, passed away on October 6, 2022 in Amarillo. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Gary was born in Pampa on May 24, 1945 to Parhah Arnold and Audrey Peal Doss. He attended White Deer Elementary School where he made several friends and later graduated from Pampa High School in 1963. Gary was a lifetime resident of the Texas Panhandle and worked as a farmer for 25 years until he retired to Granbury. Gary was a people person and enjoyed helping others. He was the main caregiver for his mother, until she passed away in 2018; he cared deeply for all his family. He loved agriculture as was evidenced by his love for farming. Gary enjoyed being outdoors, traveling to Glenwood Springs in Colorado, hunting and fishing. He was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church in White Deer.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronnie Doss and one granddaughter, Heather.
Survivors include his two daughters, Denyse Sells (Charles Stewart) of Granbury and NaChole Tupica of Burleson; one brother, Larry Doss of Amarillo; four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; two nieces, Paula and Suzie; one nephew, Marcus Shawn Doss; special friends, Kendra and Louie Black, and Marie Lucero “Queen B”.
