Gary Roger Jones

Gary Roger Jones, 81, the seventh child of Benjamin Robert and Zeddie Jones ascended to heaven on 8th of September, 2016. Gary was a Marine Corp veteran. That, and his Golden Gloves boxing successes eventually led to a career with the U.S. Department of Justice. His career as a Special Agent with the F.B.I. was recognized by the Director as being exemplary. Gary's fast wit, and intellect never ceased to amaze people. He was a thinking man, and had vast interests. His passion for literature and e-readers knew no boundaries, and Gary once piloted a glider over the Texas panhandle. Gary and his wife, Shannon, were married for 57 years. Survivors also included three daughters; twins, April Frisbie, Melissa Horn, and her husband Greg. The four grandchildren are; Jade Marie Bailey, Tyler Horn and wife Ema, Trevor Horn, and Alexandra Baer and husband, Jason. Bella Grace Baer is the great-granddaughter. Yvonne Franklin is Gary's surviving sister. Many adoring nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by brothers; Troy, Paul and BR, and sisters, Freda and Wanda, and also his daughter, Hollie Jones, who battled M.S. Our Gary, our Papa, will live in our hearts forever. The family requests that gifts be donations to your favorite charity. A private memorial will be announced.
