Gary Wade Lenning

Gary Wade Lenning, 70, of Amarillo passed away on June 7, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday June12, 2025 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Cristi Gooding officiating. Burial to follow at Llano Cemetery. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday June 11, 2025 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Gary was born on September 1, 1954 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Sherman and Lela Lenning. He proudly served his country in The United States Navy. Gary married the love of his life, Mary Ruth Choat on August 11, 1979. Together they shared 45 years together, one son and countless memories. He was a member of Yes Lord Church. Gary enjoyed going to church and reading his bible. He would love to listen to gospel music. Gary loved to go fishing and camping with his family at the lake. He was always cooking up a storm, his family favorites were his lasagna and his infamous Frito supper. Gary truly love his family fiercely, he always put them first. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Roy; and his sister Cherie.

Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; his son Timothy Lenning of Pampa; his grandchildren, Kristopher Lenning and Sabrina Vidon. Survivors also include a host of other family members and dear friends.
