Gene Robertson

April 21, 1930 — March 25, 2016

Gene was born in Lubbock on April 21, 1930 to Acie and Grace Hermon. He was raised in California. After graduating High School he proudly served in the United States Navy. On January 1, 1957 he married LaVaughn Vickery in Andrews. Gene worked in the oil field and at a G.M. Plant before moving to Amarillo in 1972. After moving to Amarillo, He worked in the Auto Body Repair Industry for many years and owned Gene Robertson Auto Body. He was a private pilot and enjoyed building model airplanes and cars during his spare time. Gene loved to cook for family and friends and spend time with his kids. He loved his Lord with all of his heart. He will be deeply missed. Gene is survived by two daughters, Pam Albright and husband Max of Amarillo, Kerri Robertson Maldonado and husband Manuel of Desoto; five sons, Chris Robertson and wife Sandy of Fort Worth, Steven Robertson and wife Kim of Arlington, Greg Robertson of Amarillo, Brent Robertson and wife Rebeca of Arlington, and Ryan Robertson of Brooklyn, New York. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
