George Robert Beattie

Bob was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Mount Pleasant to Walter Rex and Ina Elizabeth Ewart Beattie. He grew up in Mount Pleasant. He married Nancy Martha Seeley on Sept. 30, 1950, in Mount Pleasant. He was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Methodist church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother- in-law, Judson Seeley; and two sisters-in-law, Kay Seeley and Justine Beattie. Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Amarillo; a son, Steven Robert Beattie and wife Vickie of Dumas; four daughters, Patricia Ann Robbins and husband William of Abilene, Elizabeth Jean Brestrup and husband Steve of Amarillo, Linda Sue Beattie of Pampa and Martha Lynn Burch and husband Jeb of Concan; a brother, William Rex Beattie of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
