Geraldine "Jerri" Mcneal

Geraldine "Jerri" McNeal, 76, of Amarillo, died Thursday, September 14, 2017. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Monday at Llano East Cemetery, with Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home. Jerri was born August 22, 1941 in Clinton, Okla. to Lewis and Lena Stehl. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. She married Carl McNeal in 1968 in Amarillo. She worked as a rural route carrier for USPS for 20 years, retiring in 2005. Jerri was a talented seamstress. She sewed many of her children's clothes while they were growing up. She was an amazing cook. Jerri loved spending time with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Favreau in 1989, and also by a sister, Delores Schlier. She is survived by her husband Carl McNeal; two daughters, Pam Hutto, and Jennifer Auburg and husband Danny all of Amarillo; one brother, Al Stehr of Tenn.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
