Gladys Chapman

Gladys "Louise" Chapman, 83, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Quail Creek Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church with Luis Munoz officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Louise was born Sept. 13, 1932, in La Junta, Colo., to Daniel and Bonnie Wilson. She was raised in La Junta, where she graduated high school in 1950. She married John Chapman on Feb. 11, 1950. He preceded her in death. She was devoted to her church and had been a member for many years. Louise loved her family and was a doting grandmother to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Wilson; her mother, Bonnie Felps; her husband, John Chapman; and a son, Johnny Chapman. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Ott and husband Richard of Amarillo; two sisters, Arla Latta of Wichita, Kan., and Rosa Faye; and two grandchildren, Jason Ott of Abilene and Justin Ott of Amarillo
