Pauline was born on July 24, 1922 in Alma, TX to Cosie Day. She was raised in Alan Reed, graduating from McLean High School. Pauline then married W.M. Goodnight. He preceded her in death in 1944. , She began her pursuit of a career in nursing in 1959, working as a nurse in Littlefield and Clovis, NM before moving to Amarillo, where she worked for Northwest Texas Hospital for over 25 years. Pauline married Howard Hubert Horne on July 10, 1946 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1976. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and cross stitching as well as taking Caribbean cruises with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Dykes and husband Don of Amarillo; 2 sons, John H. Horne and wife Phyllis of Santa Teresa, NM and Joe Horne and wife Becky of Grapevine; daughter by choice, Pam Redman of Amarillo and 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; husband, W.M. Goodnight; husband, Howard Horne; son, Mark Horne; grandson, Raymond Horne; great granddaughter, Tiffany Davis and great grandson, Caleb Horne.
