Gloria Lena Gray

Gloria Lena Gray, 85, of Amarillo, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, 1601 SW 58th Ave, with Dr. Jerald Chadwick officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Gloria was born December 29, 1929 in Amarillo to Leota and Garland Gray. She was a loving, loyal daughter, who was the caretaker of her parents until their graduation to glory. She worked for several years as a dental assistant and then was a psychiatric nurse at Northwest Hospital for 29 years. She was a loyal member of Central Baptist Church since the late 1940's. Where after her retirement in 2000, she volunteered and served in the office. The center of her life, was her Lord and her church. She was a lady of character who was loved and will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her special friends, Pastor Jerald Chadwick and his wife Arlene; as well as her church family at Central Baptist.
