Grace Fingerson, 93, of Amarillo, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018. No services are scheduled at this time. Grace was born December 29, 1924 in Lincoln, California. She went to high school in Auburn, California. In her early life she worked for Rhodes Dept. Store in California. Grace married Robert Fingerson in Reno, NV in 1943. Grace and Bob owned and operated a Christmas tree farm north of Auburn, California. They worked on the tree farm every weekend, along with their daughter, Marge. Bob passed away in 1969. In 1971, Grace moved to Amarillo to be closer to Marge. Grace volunteered at High Plains Baptist Hospital Auxiliary for 27 years in the gift shop. She was also a senior aide for Catholic Family Services. Grace enjoyed crafting and sewing in her spare time. She also adored her dog, Meg. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert "Bob" Floyd Fingerson in 1969; four brothers and their spouses; and an infant daughter, Madeline Fingerson. Survivors include one daughter Marge Dean of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Sam Dean and wife Jeni of Phoenix, AZ, and Monica Dean of Amarillo; three great-grandchildren, Sadie, Erich and Piper. The family suggests memorial donations be given to Catholic Family Services, 2801 Duniven Circle, Amarillo, TX 79109.
